This is meant to be both an informative
and a SAFE Sanctuary.

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING
IS TO STAY SAFE!!!

IF YOU ARE IN DANGER,
WE ASK THAT YOU PLEASE CALL
YOUR LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT!

Our desire and cause, is to show that there is a way out and,
there really is help when it seems and you feel so hopeless.

It is our hope, that here, you will find the
comfort, peace, and assurance you are seeking.

Background music can be turned off here.

We have many pages,
a forum, and even a chat room!
(all are accessable after viewing and agreeing to comply with our Terms Of Use and then also our Rules Of Conduct)

This sanctuary was created not only for survivors of: physical and sexual abuse, (we especially encourage male survivors that feel so alone) but also for the family, friends, and many others associated with survivors; that are trying so hard to be both understanding and be supportive.

Perhaps you are not a survivor, but you desire to learn;
1) What are some indicators that someone has been abused
2) What one survivor would like you to know and expect
3) How to support a friend that was abused
4) What it's really like (for some survivors).

Please feel free to look around, but be aware that:
seeing certain pictures (even a hummingbird for instance),
reading about survivor's concerns/issues or lives
may trigger flashbacks.

Your safety is the most important thing here.

If you begin to feel uncomfortable,
please stop and take a breather
!

Take good care of yourself.

Remember that:

This sanctuary was created also for male survivors that have suffered, just as female survivors have, and for those friends, family members, and so many others associated with survivors;

for most friends and family are trying so very hard to be both be understanding and supportive of and for us, but just don't know how.

Please feel free to look around, but be aware that seeing certain pictures (even a hummingbird for instance), reading about survivor concerns/issues or about other survivor's lives can trigger flashbacks,
and remember, your safety is the most important thing here.

If you begin to feel uncomfortable, please stop and take a breather!

Take good care of yourself.
