Intended to help survivors of assault and abuse, by providing a place
where they (you) feel both welcomed and have access to multiple resources.
Welcome
We offer understanding, compassion, and our discoveries
to those who have been assaulted
or abused and are seeking both comfort, and answers to seemingly un-answerable questions.
As Survivors ourselves, we know.

It is our goal to have A Sanctuary
be multi-lingual. Why?
Because survivors are
not only
French,
not only
Americans,
not only
Germans,
not only
Hispanics,
not only
(name your country here). If you want to help translate pages for
your language, please send us an email at
administrator@asanctuary.net to let us know you can translate a few pages.
A Sanctuary » Main site;
can be accessed if you just aren't
quite ready to talk to other suvivors.
There are Safe Places with tranquil, calm, and peaceful pictures coupled with soft music,
so that you can relax. A Sanctuary also offers you encouragement through other ways such as;
A poetry page, where you will see you're not alone and add your poems too,
Videos that tell of ways other survivors are healing;
Other videos that offer you encouragement;
A list of outside resources that can be used with or without the site so you can finally
Restore The Real You.
Your Sanctuary » The forum;
has different areas within (like rooms in a house,
and also both the front and back yards).
We even have a "quick escape", just in case.
The quick escape immediately takes you to a Google search on Fashion.
At Your Sanctuary, we don't say ,
"I remember when that happened to me. I wish you luck getting through it."
We encourage our members to help each other by offering helpful ideas, like,
"I remember going through that and what I did was (idea is here).
Now, I don't know if that will work for you, and remember,
only you know if it is safe for you to try."
Not a survivor?
You are welcomed to join the other Supporting Members,
and their areas, if you love or care about a survivor.
Maybe we can even help you understand how you can help the one you love.
Others, just like you, can share what they have learned.
If you choose, we will tell you about what some of us have faced so that you will know and understand why there are times that we just don't want to be held.
We hope you will look around and find that this is
the safe, comfortable place you've been looking for.
